This platform operates crushing of rocks and separation of minerals, mainly for geochemical and geochronological analyzes.
Proposed services :
CRUSHING :
40 tons hydraulic press
Tungsten carbide jaw crusher
Tungsten carbide ring mill
Agate ring mill (for powders for « total rock analyzes » (Ø < 10 µm))
QUARTERING :
Two samplers from « Minerais et Metaux » brand : medium and small model
SIEVING :
Dry siefter for sieves with a diameter of 20 cm
Sample must be decanted before sieving to eliminate fine particles
Sieving column up to 5 sieves
Sieve mesh sizes available : 50, 80, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 850 µm et 1 mm
10 cm diameter sieve
Mesh : 100, 150, 250, 355 µm et 1 mm.
Sieving must be carried out manually.
Ultrasonic tank for cleaning sieves with a diameter of 20 cm.
SEPARATION BY DENSITY :
Densitest ® : Separation bu relative density
Dense Liqueurs : Separation by absolute density :
• Bromoform : d=2,9
• Diiodomethane : d=3,3
Possibility to have diluted product to obtain suitable density
