Rock preparation technical platform groups together the equipment used for rock preparation at the UMR.
Each component is under the direct responsibility of a manager. These facilities are open to all the UMR’s scientific projects, depending on their thematic specificity and under the responsibility of the manager.
Core drilling

This platform enables rock samples to be prepared by coring for study at GM.
Crushing & mineral sorting

This platform is used to crush rocks and separate minerals, mainly for geochemical and geochronological analyses.
Lithopreparation

The Lithopreparation platform can be used to produce thin sections and polished sections from rocks.
