Objectives et principle
Observation by optical microscopy is basis of much of the laboratory’s research. A fleet of around twenty microscopes and stereomicroscopes is available. It allows, among other things, to carry out microscopic observations in transmitted and reflected light, by cathodoluminescence, or to carry out microthermometric analysis of fluid inclusions. Some of these devices are equipped with digital cameras allowing image capture.
Equipment
10 microscopes including :
3 with transmitted and reflected light with digital image capture
3 with transmitted light with digital image capture
1 with transmitted light with film image capture
3 stereomicroscopes
2 scanners
1 microscope equipped with 4-axes universal stage
1 microscope equipped with Linkam microthermometric stage
2 microscopes equipped for cathodoluminescence observation
